Dear Wiltshire UNISON Member,
Your invitation to our 2022 Annual General Meetings (AGMs)!
At the AGMs we shall be confirming the re/election of branch officers, seeking members’ agreement to sign off our annual accounts, presenting brief reports from key branch officers and will be considering any Motions and agenda items submitted.
On 08 December 2021 the branch executive committee agreed that all existing branch officers, convenors, stewards, health and safety reps and union learning reps wishing to re-stand be re-nominated to their current posts. Further nominations for any branch officer post and for additional workplace stewards, health and safety reps, environmental reps or union learning reps are very much welcomed. We have a number of vacant posts, please seriously consider if you can get involved in the branch as without the active participation of members this branch would not exist.

Assistant Branch Secretary
Assistant Branch Treasurer
Lifelong Learning Officer
Health & Safety Officer
(For a full list of all Branch Officer positions refer to the Branch Officer nomination form). Due to the current covid situation members are likely to experience difficulties getting nomination proposers and seconders to sign their nominations, under the circumstances email confirmation from proposers and seconders to accompany completed nominations forms will be accepted.
You are strongly encouraged to attend one of our Annual General Meetings. Please note that active member participation in our AGM process is a key performance indicator required by UNISON rules. All of the 2022 AGM’s will be online due to the covid-19 situation. Please notify the Branch Secretary which of the meetings you wish to attend and a link/invite to attend the meeting will be sent to you nearer to the event.

Wednesday 16 March 2022
Wednesday 23 March 2022
At each AGM members will have an opportunity to raise general issues of concern in a discussion session following the conclusion of the AGM business.

- Membership update form (please complete and return this form to the branch office in order to update us of new contact details)
- Branch Constitution (rules)
Copies of all these documents will be available at the AGMs. Alternatively contact the branch office on 01225 713030 if you prefer to have hardcopies of the AGM document made available to you.
Members may request that a Motion go onto the agenda for discussion, please contact the branch office for the submission form which must be completed and returned to me. The Branch Executive will have the final decision as to whether or not any Motion submitted is competent to be placed onto the agenda. Details of all competent Motions received will be displayed on the branch website and made available for the AGM’s
